Hi ya'll, welcome to my blog! Hopefully you have reached my blog through my fellow design team member, Suzanna. If not, no worries, I just ask that you visit Sketch Support to begin the hop.
I'm going to get things started by sharing a little info about myself so that you can get to know me a little better.
My name is Christina, I live in Springfield, MO, I am married, I have one little boy and three wild and crazy labs.
*When it comes to paper crafting I am a hoarder! Yes, I believe that at some point all scrappers become one. I love anything crafty and love to collect anything cool I see that I think at some point I will use.
*Where do I craft? Well, let's see, my husband bought me this pretty L-shaped desk for my scrapbooking room and yet I still scrapbook on the floor. I know sounds totally silly, but I have more space to spread out and it's what works best for me.
*When I am creating, these are the things I have to have around me, my Ipod, my laptop, all of my crafting essentials and candy.
*When I am not creating, you can find me at work, spending time with my family, clipping coupons, shopping, camping and last but not least, on the internet.
*When it comes to sketches I certainly must have them! I've tried free handing my layouts and they simply look scary!
Whew, hope that wasn't too much information for you. Now let's check out Allison's sketch and layout that I've created for you.
Aren't her sketches AMAZING? I love her work!! If you haven't already printed this amazing sketch please be sure to visit Sketch Support to get your own copy.
Are you ready for my layout? Drum roll please...........
"Sparkling Blue Eyed Baby"
Supplies - Cardstock: Bazzill; All other products: Echo Park except for Embroidery Floss: DMC; Sketch: Allison Davis, Sketch Support and Scrapbook Generation
Well that's it for me today. I've enjoyed sharing a little bit about me and my crafty side and to show my appreciation I am going to have a giveaway. Can you guess what it is?
Let's see, it has something to do with sketches and Allison Davis.....have you guessed it yet?
Surprise it's a copy of "Sketches for Scrapbooking Volume 7"
If you would like to win your very own copy of this sketch book, please leave a comment as to what you like most about Allison's sketches and I will draw a name on Monday, February 28th.
Now be sure to hop on over to fellow design team member, Noey's blog.
Have a great weekend!

ReplyDeleteSweet layout-that little airplane towing the banner behind it just could not be any cuter! Love it!
ReplyDeleteI love the trail behind the plane! very cool job with the sketch! TFS...I have book seven so please let some other lucky gal have a chance at it!
ReplyDeleteThose Little Boy papers are so cute on your page!
ReplyDeleteI love Alison's sketches because she makes it so easy to put a layout together. She does all the thinking for you. Love your take on her sketch!

ReplyDeleteBEAUTIFUL layout! THe colors all work SO well together...Love the movement that the airplane created over the spread. And that little precious bundle, how can you not love it!
ReplyDeleteGreat, great job and thanks for sharing.
The top #1 reason I like Allison's sketches are that they are 2 page layouts for multiple photos (something every scrapper has lots of)! A.W.E.S.O.M.E.
Smiles from PA
Oh WOW! I really like your layout, the clouds, the plane, the colors!
ReplyDeleteI love the versatility of the sketches. They are so adaptable, and while not complex to follow produce amazing, balanced results!
Oh gosh the pictures are perfect with the paper line you used. The banner with the words is so cute. I love it! I really like how Allison's sketches have everything together and grounded. I like that she puts so many details of sizes, stripe versus patterns, etc... that way if you want to follow closely you can but you don't have to. So many other sketches don't put the details and if I really want to have it similar it takes a lot of time to get the measurements down.
ReplyDeleteI love Ali's sketches because they're just so usuable. I have never found one that I could not make my pics work for it. Love your version of this great bonus sketch.
ReplyDeleteVery cute layout! I love the sketches because they give me an idea, a starting point from which I can be as creative (or not) as I want. Traditional idea books are great, but I feel I need to copy the layout exactly. Alison's sketches give me freedom while inspiring me. Love them.
ReplyDeleteGreat layout! I love what you did with that Echo Park paper! I love the style of Allison's sketches, they fit my scrapping style very well!

ReplyDeleteYour little boy is adorable and so is your layout!
ReplyDeleteFirst of all---love, love, love your layout! So cute! Second, what do I love about Allison's sketches? I love the clean look, the way the photos are generally grouped toward the middle, they use photo sizes that aren't larger than 4x6 and they are so adaptable to so many different styles...I think that about covers it!

ReplyDeleteWhat a darling baby. Love those eyes and that smile!
ReplyDeleteawwwww how cute your baby boy is, great pictures. I love love the airplane and the banner with it. Congrats on being spotted by JB, they are my favorite. Your layouts are great. What I liked first about Allison's sketches about two/three years ago, were her cute boys, didn't even notice the sketch just her cute red hair boy then the chubby/head full of hair Jackson. Then I noticed that most of her pages are a white background which I love and that she uses paper/pattern/stripe, etc. strips so well on a layout. I feel it's easier using those instead of one 12x12 piece. Her pages always look clean and simple with a homemade touch to them with her stitching. This was a dream come true for me when she announced having sketch support, I get up early every morning just to see it. Thank you for sharing with us and for the giveaway. So nice to meet you and will follow your blog now too.
