Here is what I created:

Variation #1 – I cut my card down from 8 x 7 ½ to 8 x 7.
Variation #2 – Instead of a solid background I used two coordinating patterned papers.
Variation #3 – I also added a 1 inch strip to the bottom of the card along with a journaling tag. I opted to hand write my message.
Variation #4 - I used flowers and stems in place of the large circles.
Variation #5 - I also chalked and hand stitched around a few of the flowers and stacked smaller flowers on the larger ones with pop dots to give it more depth.

Hey Christina, yeah I am the guest designer/diaper cake person. I wanted to tell you what happened at the baby shower today - there were 3 diaper cakes! The first time I ever even heard of one was when I saw your blog, I had no idea they were all the rage. The other two were basically diapers tied with ribbons, but I thought it was funny there were three. Thanks for your kind words on my cards, I was nervous having it posted since I wrote waaaaaaay too much (and it will be also with the other three sketches, sigh). I love your cards too, especially the sweet cupcake one. Take care!

ReplyDeleteMichelle, I can't believe there were 3 diaper cakes! Yikes! I know yours was the best! I can't wait to see what else you share with us this month. And thank you for the compliment on my cards. I too was nervous about posting them. I thinking I'm getting better about it now though.
