Sketch Support

Wow!  Can you believe we have less than 48 hours until the big launch of Sketch Support?  That's right, January 1st we will go live with projects posted daily.  I am super stoked, yet nervous!  I know that Allison, myself and the remaining 12 Creative Team members can't wait to share with you what we have created.

Sketch Support will work much like Sketch Week did on Allison's blog. Here is how it will work:

Each month will feature four sketches:

• a card sketch
• a one-page sketch
• a two-page sketch
• and an add-on sketch

The best part is the sketches will all be available to download and print.  How awesome is that?!  So go ahead, download, print and get to creating.  We would love to see your creations so please post pictures to your blog and share the link with us.

We also have a special little surprise for you.  Drum roll please...........a Sketch Support blog badge.

Feel free to add it to your blog and be sure to visit http://www.sketchsupport.com/ on January 1st, 2011.

My Mind's Eye Blog Challenge 18

So I finally decided to take the leap and participate in one of My Mind's Eye's Blog Challenges.  I thought what the heck, why not give it a shot.

Here is the sketch:

Here is what I created:  "It's A Boy Thing"

As you can see, I made a few changes to my layout.

Variation #1:  I decided to turn my layout into a 2 pager.  I'm not a fan of single page layouts, so I have a hard time adjusting my work to them.

Variation #2:   I used multiple wallet sized photo's in place of the second 4 x 6 photo.

Variation #3:  I moved my embellishments around to make them work around the placement of the photo's.

Custom Diaper Cakes

Last year when I was planning my sister's baby shower, I got this wild idea of creating a diaper cake for her.  Well little did I know that diaper cake would turn out to be the beginning of a new hobby.  I've since made several for my expecting friends and also have made some for paying customers.

Here is a picture of the cake that started it all.

Below are a few more cakes that I have made.
